At the heart of Dahlia Catering is Cecilia Cervantes — a passionate cook, proud daughter of Aguascalientes, and the creative force behind every dish we serve. Cecilia’s love for food was sparked in her grandmother’s kitchen, where simple ingredients and homegrown herbs were transformed into comforting meals that nourished both body and soul. Today, that same spirit lives on through Dahlia Catering, where she shares her family’s recipes and the rich culinary heritage of Mexico with every client. More than just a business, it’s a celebration of tradition, love, and the kind of food that brings people together.

About the Owner, Cecilia

Cecilia Cervantes here! I was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and moved to the U.S. when I was just six years old. One of my greatest passions in life is food, and some of my fondest memories as a child are of sitting in my grandmother's kitchen, watching her work her magic with simple ingredients. At the time, I didn't realize just how special those moments were, but looking back, I can clearly see how her cooking did more than just satisfy our hunger — it filled our hearts with love and warmth.

Growing up, we didn't always have the resources for elaborate meals, but my grandma knew how to make the most of what we had. With a few ingredients, often sourced right from her own backyard garden, she created the most delicious and comforting Mexican dishes. Her love for her garden – full of flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, and herbs – became an essential part of the meals she made. Now, I’ve started my own garden to honor her memory and that special connection to food and family.

The inspiration behind starting my catering company is simple: I want to share the joy that my grandma's cooking brought me with others. Food has a powerful way of bringing people together, and my goal is to use it to create memorable moments, bring families closer, and spread love, one dish at a time.

Dahlia Catering is not solely about the food — we also take pride in our presentation and work closely with you to customize the setup to perfectly match your venue and event. From unique plating options to personalized setups, we ensure that every detail is thoughtfully designed. We also love creating interactive experiences, like a street corn station where guests can choose their own toppings or a sweet treat station featuring favorites like fresas con crema and fresas con chocolate to end the meal on a delicious note.
